Nigeria Indigenous Language Film Showcase (NILFS)

INTRODUCING the Nigeria Indigenous Language Film Showcase (NILFS 2025) presented by the National Film and Video Censors Board @nfvcb

This is a nationwide call to young filmmakers producing films in indigenous languages beyond Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo to bring those voices to the screen.

To participate in NILFS, your film must be in a Nigerian indigenous language outside the three Nigerian major languages of Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo and be officially classified by NFVCB.

To encourage Nigerian Indigenous Languages beyond the three major languages, classifications fee have been offered at a special rate of twenty-five thousand naira.

📝 Please note: A separate registration fee of ten thousand naira (₦10,000) is required to participate in NILFS. This does not cover or include the NFVCB classification cost.

Once classified, your censorship certificate and the entry fee become your entry pass to NILFS 2025.

This one-day showcase will be held in September 2025. Finalists will be decided by a jury, and winners will be celebrated, and prizes will include cash rewards of up to N5 million and film production equipment.
