NFVCB to Youth Corps members: Be an advocate of peace in your primary assignment

The Media Literacy Program, an enlightenment campaign of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), visited the National Youth Service Corps on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, in Abuja
 
The visit which has always been a tradition, had the youth encouraged to channel their energy to positive use of media contents impactful to their immediate society.
The Head of the Media Literacy team of the Board, Mrs Chioma Ameachi  in company of the Director, Film censorship and classification department Mrs Oyadairo Alonge enjoined the Youth Corp members to be Media Literates and Peace Advocates in primary places of assignment, involving themselves to Youth peace movement, leverage on the Media Literacy Program and make good use of the opportunity created by the forth coming Youth Peace Festival 2018.
Understanding the role of the media in the society was driven to the corps’ minds with valid know-how on leveraging on several window of opportunities  abound online and on the same vein, employ wisdom to prevent being an instrument in the hands of extremist groups and wicked politicians to ferment trouble especially in the 2019 electioneering and also volatile ethnic and Religious situation in the country.
