NFVCB sensitize children Nationwide with media literacy

When push come to shove we brew up storm and remain consistent with activities or ways to put an end to that which brought about the push coming to shove. But why wait for that when we can prevent it?

To prevent the aura of lack of knowledge that exists in the public from stirring up to the level of literacy crisis—likened to the above fact, National Film and Video Censors Board initiated a program which is a faction of their mandate—media literacy—a program aimed at sensitizing the entire public on movie contents with focus on the classification symbols.
The program which has been active overtime was continued on Tuesday,May 29 2018. But this time, the targeted audience is the children—owing to the saying “catch them young” plus, as we well know, they are our future.
Schools and religious institutions in the following States Plateau, Bauchi, Sokoto, Kwara, Oyo, Lagos,Anambra, Niger and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have been visited.
More states are going to be affected with this needful sensitization of our kids.
This is to bring our kids into the spheres of enlightenment on classification symbols and other related knowledge helpful to their being media-literates in all forms and give them valid enablement to control the elucidation of what they see or hear and prevent having them controlled by the elucidation—which will yield push coming to shove and we do not want that.
The Executive Director of the National Film and Video Censors Board, Alh. Adedayo Thomas is determined to reach every state of the federation with Media Literacy Program because Movie Content matters.
